Fight Club is a 1999 American drama film based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. Fight Club was one of the most controversial and talked-about films of the 1990s.
And of course , in the film we can see a lot of T-shirts , which later became legendary.
In my effort to curate every item worn by Tyler Durden in Fight Club I present to you Tyler’s Hustler mesh shirt from the film. It’s not worn very long and is easy to miss, unless you’ve seen the movie a bunch of times. It appears in the second parking lot fight scene.
Tyler Durden’s Sock It To Me Shirt
As with most of the apparel worn by Brad Pitt, while playing Tyler Durden in Fight Club, this Sock It To Me shirt was originally a vintage item. Lucky for you some clothiers decided to bring back the design and print it on some t-shirts.
His name is Robert Paulson; and he wears a World Gym t-shirt in Fight Club. His name is Robert Paulson; and he is played by Meat Loaf. In death, a member of Project Mayhem has a name, his name is Robert Paulson.
Tyler Durden’s Stars Shirt
A recent request came in for the ‘stars’ t-shirt that Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) wore in Fight Club. IIRC, this shirt was shown only briefly throughout the film, but apparently it was notable enough that people want to buy it.
The shirt appears to be a blue v-neck, short sleeved, tee with a white star pattern around the body (not sleeves) of the shirt.
Tyler Durden’s Motorcycle Jacket and red-mix T-shirt
This is the other Tyler Durden jacket from Fight Club. When people think about Tyler Durden’s jacket, they usually think of the red leather one. This one usually goes forgotten. Tyler Durden wore this one in the scene where he and Edward Norton were smashing in car headlights. After that scene, the jacket no longer is seen in the movie.
Tyler Durden’s Leather Jacket and blue T-shirt
This is the infamous leather jacket from Fight Club. A tight fitting, red(ish), leather blazer-like jacket. Not sure ‘normal folk’ can really pull this one off without looking like you are trying to look like some fictional character from a movie, but that might be the point (Halloween?).
We found a few different manufacturers that make replicas. Finding the exact source is tough; some say it was a custom design from the costume designer, others say it was a thrift store find (as so much of Brad Pitt’s clothes were in the film).
